Circa 1902
This carpet was designed by Voysey in about 1902 when Voysey was at the height of his career. It was shown at the Grafton Gallery in 1903. The carpet depicts swans, birds and stags amongst trees. The design has all the elements that have become synonymous with the Arts and Crafts period and in particular Voysey's work.
