Liberty Exhibition 2007 Catalogue
Welcome to Liberty’s annual 10 day selling exhibition running from the 14th June until the 24th June, which is being presented this year in a new format.
My Company Patch Rogers Design has been retained to act as curator for this year’s show and the collection again reflects that wonderful period of British art and design that flourished from 1850 to 1950.
Designers such as William Morris, Archibald Knox, Dr Christopher Dresser, William De Morgan, Gordon Russell and Thomas Jekyll are represented in furniture, metalwork, jewellery and ceramics. Other pieces include an early 10’ refectory table in adzed oak by Robert Thompson (The Mouseman), a simple Arts and Crafts settee by the Glasgow firm of Wylie & Lochhead, an Art Deco day bed in original 30’s fabric from the R.A.C. Club Edinburgh, stained glass panel by George Walton, rare gold necklace by Jessie M King and a Lalique ‘Languedoc’ green glass vase, silver porringer by C.R. Ashbee and a cartoon drawing for stained glass by Ford Maddox Brown in its original Morris & Company frame.
I will personally be in attendance for the duration of the exhibition but if you are unable to visit us on the fourth floor please contact me through this website's contact forms (see above).
